The space
Three-bedroom home with 2 full bathrooms. A spacious master bedroom on the second floor with a queen bed and a full futon ideal for kids. The landing upstairs has a full size bed overlooking the living room and south facing windows. The first floor has two bedrooms each with a queen size bed. There is a wide open living room and kitchen. Cathedral ceilings with large south facing windows offering passive solar heat. Large yard and wrap around deck with hiking trails right outside the door. Fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, Vitamix, gas range and oven.
Guest access
Walk into town (1 mile) for breakfast at Elmer's or pizza at Country Pie. Loads of parking on site for up to four cars and an EV level 1 outlet for charging vehicles. The house is tucked back about 600 feet from the road giving you lots of privacy and quiet. It is located on three acres surrounded by forest and plentiful hiking.

Hannah, the home owner, operates a small herbal company, Sweet Birch Herbals on the ground level and there are many gardens outside. She will give you plenty of space during your stay, but please note that Sundays are when she teaches outdoor classes on the front lawn from 9am-5pm.
During the week (Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays) she is on site in the gardens and basement running her herbal company. On Sundays she teaches an herbalism course outside for her apprentices.
Please do not enter her apothecary on the ground level unless you're invited with her.

Cancellation policy
Strict: Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.

"The most accurate description of Hannah's home is IMMEDIATELY COMFORTABLE. It wasn't cluttered - lots of room for our stuff. The huge windows and countless plants brought the outside in and the space felt limitless. The beds and linens were clean and extremely comfortable. Hannah was so helpful and responsive it was like she was on site ....but not. We could relax inside and enjoy the warmth and smell of the wood stove or choose one of the many options for hiking/sightseeing. It was the perfect get-away for our family at Thanksgiving. "We had a great long weekend at Hannah’s home! The whole property and house has such character and charm! We loved visiting the goats, walking around the garden, exploring the woods and making a campfire in the fire pit. The house feels very spacious with high ceilings and an open layout. The large porch was great for big family meals and just hanging out.
Hannah was extremely fast at responding to any questions we had from booking all the way through our stay, and helpful in giving all the information we needed.
The area is great with a lake nearby, a few small towns within 15 minutes or so and lots of areas for hiking and outdoor activities. It’s a gorgeous area and was very peaceful and quiet.
