This educational workshop is designed especially for seniors. Join us for an engaging and practical class that explores safe, simple herbal remedies to support common concerns such as sleep challenges, joint stiffness & inflammation, digestion, circulation & heart health, memory & mood.

Participants will learn how to safely use teas, infusions, and topical preparations, with special attention to herbal–medication considerations and gentle approaches for aging bodies.

This class is interactive, easy to follow, and welcoming to beginners. Samples, demonstrations, and handouts included.

In this workshop Hannah will share what herbal practices support our organs of digestion and detoxification. We will learn about plant allies to support a healthy balance of energy during the busy season of spring. Herbal recipes and a detailed slideshow will be provided.

There is nothing quite as special as a gift made by you. In this workshop Hannah will demonstrate how to make a few herbal gifts such as balms and winter berry syrups. She will walk us through each step from formulating gift ideas, making them in real time and packaging of each item. Optional: bring your own items to make your gifts during the workshop. (see below).

Items you will need:

Balms: 12 tins or jars, beeswax (1 cup), jojoba oil (4 cups), essential oils of your choosing

Winter Berry Syrup: 12 bottles, elderberries (8 oz. dried), rose hips (2 oz. dried), cinnamon (6 sticks), ginger (2 inch root fresh), 4 C raw honey, pot, strainer, pitcher and funnel. Labels and ribbon to decorate your jars.

Aches, pains, and inflammation got you down? Join Hannah for a live virtual salve-making class in her kitchen! You'll learn ways to ease pain, infections, and wounds, as well as to moisturize dry skin with various herbal salves.

Hannah will demonstrate how to prepare a sore muscle salve for aches, pains, arthritis, and inflammation.

Herbal Travel Kits

No matter how far you are from home, it's helpful to have an herbal kit you can reach for during those unanticipated occasions when your body calls for the support of plant allies. Learn what H packs in her travel kit to stay calm, grounded and healthy. Each item that Hannah will recommend is small enough to carry onto a plane and weighs very little for those backcountry explorers. From motion sickness, food poisoning, dry coughs, anxiety and headaches, Hannah will cover what she never leaves home without.
