At Sweet Birch Herbals we organically grow and sustainably wild-craft the herbs for our products. Though we are not certified organic, we do not use any chemicals. Our goats and chickens provide fertility for our farm and we practice no-till to support the delicate soil structure.

We harvest and plant by the moon, which is a biodynamic tradition honoring the cycles of nature. Even our ghee is made on the full moon! We also raise honeybees for promoting abundant pollination on site.

Our elders and indigenous teachers taught us the importance of making offerings to the plants when harvesting. Some days we sing a song, or sit quietly thanking the plants. We also grow tobacco strictly for making offerings to the plants because tobacco has traditionally been used by our native teachers to symbolize gratitude and nourishment to the herbal medicines of the Earth.

We believe we are stewards of this farm and our goal is to increase its vibrancy for future generations by listening to the guidance from nature.
