About the event
Have you ever wanted to make your own luffa from the actual plant? Join us for this hands on workshop and you will get to take home a fully processed luffa sponge! Luffa is a long gourd in the squash family that vines up a 15-20 ft. trellis. They grow as an annual in our region (zone 5B). The inside of the plant is the perfect biodegradable, water safe sponge that lasts years. Use them either in the kitchen or for skin exfoliation in the shower. Most sponges leach plastics into our water systems but luffa is all natural plant fiber safe for our homes and waterways!
Cost: $50 / per person
