A course in grassroots medicine for the people
Sundays, May - October 10am-1pm
This is an opportunity to cultivate community surrounded by the precious plants that offer us the healing of their medicines.
Expand your knowledge of herbal medicine with Hannah Jacobson-Hardy, community herbalist and wellness coach of Sweet Birch Herbals in her gardens and workshop space located in the hills of beautiful Ashfield, MA.
Classes include a wide range of immersive experiences into the worlds of Chinese, Western, and Native American herbal medicine. Each workshop includes recipes, handouts, products you can take home, and extensive teachings on locally abundant wild and cultivated medicinal plants. Together we will harvest the herbs for building a household apothecary. Then, we’ll transform the plants into a variety of tinctures, teas, elixirs, body lotions, salves, essential oils, and flower essences. By honoring the ancient wisdom of plant-based medicine through truly local healthcare we deepen our connection with the natural world.
Join us for a season of crafting effective remedies and exploring the science and art of herbal medicine!
